The digital nomad visa in Greece enables remote workers and digital nomads to stay for over 90 days, allowing for an extended residency of up to 365 days. This visa grants individuals from outside the EU and EEA the opportunity to live and work legally in Greece for up to 12 months. Furthermore, applicants can apply for a visa extension before the initial 12-month period concludes.

To obtain a digital nomad visa, check if you:
- You are not employed by a company registered in Greece.
- Your clients or the company you work for operate outside of Greece.
- You have a reliable internet connection and the necessary tools to work remotely.
- You can demonstrate your business activity if you are self-employed.
- You meet the minimum monthly net income criteria.
The required income varies depending on who will accompany you during your stay in Greece. Here’s how it applies:

There are two ways to apply for a digital nomad visa in Greece:
If you are currently in Greece, you should submit your application to the Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum along with the necessary documents. Make sure to allow sufficient time for your application before your existing visa expires.
If you are outside of Greece, you’ll need to apply at the Greek Embassy or Consulate in your home country. While the overall approval process may take around a month in Greece, the digital nomad visa is usually approved within about 10 days.
